Day 30 is part of a long-term project I started while in my senior year pursuing my BFA.

The intention behind this project was to observe and display a part of me that at one point in my life I tried to hide, dismiss, and ignore. Both as an individual and as an artist. In my practice, I observe present and past realities in my work and I came to realize this was one integral part of me that I could not simply push away.

I have a condition known by multiple names, one more common - Essential Tremor. I was either born with it or it began shortly after birth, either way, I have no concept of what it is to have a steady hand or strong unwavering voice. It is a degenerative condition, and will progress over my lifetime, and thus this observation will continue throughout my life. The title is in reference to the year of observation.
